Easter family fun

We had a really fun Easter Day this year. We started out by playing in The Big Green Bed, which is what we call Mommy and Daddy’s bed.  Mommy said there was an Easter that we played in a bed back when KiKi was a tiny baby… remember this and this ? Look how small we used to be!  KiKi was way smaller than me then, but now she’s bigger!   KiKi and I love to play and we also like to give hugs.  But she usually pulls me over so we both fall down. Sometimes we rest for a minute.  Shhhh.  Then sometimes we get all silly again!! Then we were doing Easter Day Hoorays!! Then we got ready for church . KiKi always walks faster than me.  But Daddy helps me keep going without KiKi running away. Our dresses weren’t just the same, but they were kind of almost the same. KiKi wore the one that was supposed to be for me, but it’s ok.  I like purple too.  Mommy made new bows for us to...

KiKi’s Turn: Snow day

I’m working on some old stories and some new stories, but while I’m getting them ready, I’ll let Mommy tell you about KiKi’s first day in the snow. __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ After we dropped Braska off at school on Wednesday, Kinlee kept asking to go walk in the snow.  Not PLAY in the snow, mind you. “Mom, I want to walk in the snow.”  So I got out the snowsuit we’ve had stored for such a time as this and we bundled her up to go outside.  She giggled like crazy when we finally walked out of the garage. First foray into the snow True to her request, she just wanted to walk in the snow. She just marched around the driveway and yard. Until she fell down and couldn’t get up. But soon she’d resumed her marching, then stopped for a moment to just enjoy the pretty white view. Until she collapsed once again and required assistance to get up. She explored the boundaries of her territory… And she even ask...

On the BUS!

(Today’s the last day to enter the giveaway game !!  Did you tell your friends about it? Did you remind them to come try to win?  Better go do it now!) Today it was time for school again!  I get to go to a new class with a new teacher for a little while in the summer time.   And guess what… I get to ride the bus!!  Mommy still takes me to school in the morning time, but she decided to let me come home on the bus after school so she can get Kinlee to nap at the right time every day. But today, Mommy and KiKi came back to school when I was going to the bus so she could meet my bus driver.  They walked behind while I was learning where I go to get on my bus. Then I found my bus and climbed up the great big steps! Mommy said hi to my bus driver and the nice lady who helped me get in my seat.  And she took a couple pictures when she said goodbye. Mommy and KiKi went home and waited for me to get there. ...

Ready for dresses!

Yesterday we wore dresses to church.  We used to wear them sometimes when we were tiny babies, but when we started to crawl around, Mommy put us in other clothes that are easier for that.  But we’re walking now!! Did you know it!?! Me and KiKi are walking almost all the time, and so we got to wear cute dresses again today! Usually we stand by the door for pictures, but KiKi was being silly and she got on the couch and wouldn’t get down.  So I got up there too and Mommy just took pictures there instead of putting us down. We took a bunch more fun pictures today, but those will have to come later!

Hunting eggs

There’s been lots of stuff going on around our house. Sick and exciting and more sick.  Mommy’s been telling the stories, so you can read about it from her .  I just play and let the big people do all the hard stuff. Yesterday I went to a party!  I love to go to parties!  I’ve got two of them to tell you about, but I’ll tell you about yesterday’s first because we only have a few pictures to do. (The other one was last week and I have lots of pictures and movies to show you!) My friends Andrew, Caleb, and Rachel had a party where we got to find eggs in the yard and we got to color them and we got to make cool pictures and we got to play with fun toys!  It was great!  I just love parties! Daddy helped me find some eggs. But I don’t like grass at ALL so I looked for some on the hard part with no grass.  That was way better. And I could stand up all by myself after I reached to get the eggs.  Miss Janet would be so proud of ...

Mommy report: 5 steps!!!

Braska walked 5 steps, from the TV cabinet to the couch!!!  Without us telling her to!! While I was typing the post on my blog , Miss Thang decided to treat me to a smile.  She was watching Sesame Street, and she had sneaked into her favorite position of standing against the TV cabinet, about 9 inches below the screen.  I noticed and paused her show, and I told her to get on the couch.  Typically, she would turn around, drop to her knees, and crawl quickly to the couch and climb up to her “spot.” But she—without a pause—turned and walked the 5 steps to the end of the couch and climbed up!  I just stared.  I tried to cheer for her, but I have no voice at all, so it was a pathetic, whispery cheer with clapping.  It’s a small thing, but it’s the 1st time that she’s done more than 2 steps of her own initiative.  That’s cool! Oh, and while I’m typing this post, she just went from couch to couch, about 3 steps, on her own too.  She must be ...

31 for 21: Silly girl walking

I’m working hard on my walking with only holding one hand of Mommy’s and taking steps by myself sometimes too!  Here’s a movie we made at Grandma C’s and PaPaw’s on Sunday.   I was showing off a little, but everybody kept cheering for me!

31 for 21: Walkin’ in the Park

A couple weeks ago we went to the Walk in the Park.  It’s a day when all of us with the extra cool chromosome get to have a little party and go to a baseball game together so everyone else can see how cool we are.  I think, that’s what it’s for anyway. First we got dressed.  This is always important, you know.  I put on my “bird shirt.” That’s what I call it. (Happy face) (Too-cool-for-school face) I got to wear my super cute bows from Miss Courtney and LC !! Then KiKi and me got in our picture spot and showed our matching cuteness.  Our shoes are the same, our jeans are the same, and our white shirts are the same.  Our red shirts are kind of close.  Both of them have that bird on there. Here’s our whole family that came with us.  It was SO cold!! We had to be all bundled up! KiKi cuddled up to stay warm. I watched everything from up on Daddy’s shoulders.  They had music and eve...
