31 for 21: Thanks goodness for friends!

Flashback from Nov 2011… fun times.

First day of school 2013

The day didn’t start out on a perky note for Braska. She did not feel well and just was so pathetic to see. The classic front porch pics were a bit uncomfortable for Kinlee.  But still, a photo must be had. Even if it’s an unhappy one. Braska went with Daddy to school, 13 minutes east of our house, and I took Kinlee 10 minutes west of the house to her school. And I kept thinking “the juggling has begun….” While dropping Kinlee off, I was still in her school, Braska’s school called (8:20 am) to tell me she was feeling worse, and asking if I thought I should get her.  We discussed, and they felt that wanted to allow her a bit more down time to adjust, and it turned out she did perk up and did well for the rest of the day.  Belly issues, apparently. When it was time for Braska to arrive home on the bus, Kinlee and I went out to the porch to wait for her. She got off that bus, happy as a clam, and marched independently up to the house with her monstro...

31 for 21 : Sleep stackers

Daddy and KiKi like to cuddle. They cuddle in the morning time a lot when it’s Saturday or Sunday and Daddy’s still home when we wake up.  I’m not so into cuddling for very long, but this sleeping in a stack might be fun to try.

31 for 21: I smile. She swims.

Mommy is having fun with Auntie Rachel’s camera. So we’ve been doing a lot of “cheeeese.” Sometimes I do my serious thinking face, though. KiKi had swim lessons tonight, and she pretended to be a puppy. But she swam pretty good tonight!  Then we went to cheer with Daddy while Mommy had a meeting.  We need a staycation, Mommy says.  And a blank calendar. We watched a little baseball and football, too.  The Cardinals forgot to play at their game tonight.  But the Bears played great and WON!  Da Bears!

31 for 21: A field trip. Again.

KiKi’s class must have heard how much fun we had at the pumpkin patch yesterday, because they went today!  Mommy went both times, so I’ll let her tell you about their day today… Déjà vu. We loaded up the van with cute little girls. Yesterday it was only Braska and a friend and the friend’s mom, today it was Kinlee and 3 friends plus 1 other mom.  Kinlee has a serious selection of shades that live in the van, so everyone chose a pair for the ride. KiKi’s class went to the same place, but a different location.  So it was similar but different.  Keeping it interesting, which was ok since two field trips in two days could get boring… Climbing the big hay pyramid… ”Ta-Da!!” For the most part, Kinlee was pretty excited about the whole event. She liked the swing, of course. The zipline was a BIG hit! A little video clip of the zipline… She kept refusing to take a picture with me… showing once...

31 for 21: KiKi’s fall walk in pictures

After Mommy took me to school today, KiKi wanted to go for a walk, so they did.  They took lots of pictures, (Mommy’s borrowing Auntie Rachel’s new camera) so when I got home we all looked together. KiKi wanted to pose by the pumpkins. Here’s KiKi… And here’s Mommy… Kinlee found a tree with berries in our neighbors yard. See? It’s little tiny.  And we don’t eat these berries, no way.

192/366 Daddy’s Car Buddy

Since our van needs a new music player, Daddy thought he would give us his super cool one from his car.  Then he could pick another one or something… So Daddy went out to work on it tonight. And KiKi wanted to be Daddy’s car buddy.  First she held the cup with little pieces in it. But then she got to REALLY help.  She’s a pretty good car buddy afterall!

180/366 KiKi’s Turn: Dentist!

KiKi went to the dentist for her first cleaning.  I was at school, but Baby Patrick went with her to make sure she was ok.  Mom will tell you about it… ___   ___   ___   ___   ___   ___   ___   ___ Braska does NOT do well at the dentist.  That is a massive understatement. So I had high hopes for Kinlee and her first cleaning.  She went last winter for the counting of the teeth, etc, but that was before she turned 3.  So now we were ready for her first real appointment.  She remembered going in December and knew there would be a treasure chest and goodies after she was done.  We practiced lying down and saying “Ahhhhh.”  We counted teeth, and she’s great with brushing, so I figure we were good to go. First they did her x-rays.  She was ready to go in the big chair with the heavy “bib” on. Then she got a little less ok with it when it was time to bite on the...

177/366 High, way high V

I don’t like to go as high as KiKi when we do stunting… it’s way high! But tonight she did great and went all the way up! Now THAT is a HIGH V!

171/366 KiKi’s turn: Outside alone

I went back to school today for summer class.  KiKi played outside while I was at school, so Mommy will have to tell you about that part. _____________________________________________________ Kinlee has been just recently interested in playing outside by herself.  And I love it.  I thought I’d be able to clean the kitchen while she was outside playing.  I mean, I could still see her. That works.  But no. It was too entertaining to just watch her.  She started with the little slide.  Singing as she went. Then she kicked the soccer ball around for a while. She decided then to pick the little white flowers in the grass. And of course she needed a cup with water for her flowers. She’s been working on toe-touches at cheer practice.  And she loves to watch herself on the phone in videos.  Hence the following clip… Make a video - it's fun, easy and free! www.onetruemedia.com ...

164/366 Getting caught

Baby Patrick likes when I give him cuddles, and I like it when he giggles.  So we play together a lot.  I guess I got close enough for him to steal my glasses!  Mommy even caught him at it! Don’t worry, I got them back. We go to QT a lot. They have really good drinks for only a little bit of money. But we usually only drink the sodas one at a time. KiKi got caught sneaking two at once. And when Daddy got home, we ran over for surprise hugs, but he caught us both at the same time for a big group hug. We LOVE group hugs! Sometimes getting caught is a GOOD thing!

159/366 Healthy dinner

(Mommy note: This is the last post for today, but please note that we caught up today, so don’t miss the several posts that are below, especially if you’re getting this via email!  Thanks for your patience as we caught up!) This is what KiKi had tonight for dinner.  She’s so good at eating healthy things. When she wants to. Sometimes.  But these are some of her favorites! My food is all mixed up, because I usually eat soup with all my meat and veggies in there.  It’s not as pretty to look at, but I eat it up really good!

150/366 Morning friends

Madison and Patrick were here today when I woke up.  They must get up REALLY early.  Their mommy has to go to work early, so she brings them here before anybody else but Mommy is awake.  Madison was happy to see me and climbed up on the couch to snuggle before we got dressed. Later on, Mommy and KiKi were making some lunch.  I sat by Baby Patrick and talked to him while we waited for the food to be done.  I always want Mommy to let me hold him by myself, but she says this little bouncy seat works just fine when she’s busy. KiKi is a good helper in the kitchen.  I like to help, but only for one minute.  I’d rather go play with the baby!  KiKi likes to tear lettuce. And EAT lettuce. It’s one of her favorite snacks to eat.

149/366 Silly family. By KiKi.

KiKi was taking pictures again. Daddy was home since today was a holiday.  She caught us in our regular spots…  being silly, of course.

134/366 Mom’s Day cookies

Today was Mommy’s day.  We took some pictures before church. The best present Mommy asked for… smooches! We went to church and saw Grammy, that’s Mommy’s mom.  Then we went to Grandma C’s house after church.  She is Daddy’s mom.  It’s kind of their day, too, I guess. KiKi and Grandma C made cookies. And the best part is to lick the yummies after the cookies are all mixed. That’s what KiKi likes. After we left Grandma C’s, we went to cheer, and I did so good!   I stood up tall when we did stunting practice.  I didn’t even hold on!   I just did a big high V like I’m supposed to! I really like cheer… Yay!!
