Expanding line for DS Life shirts! Mosaic and Screen Print

Things have been overwhelming since the release of my DS Life design this week.  We’ve gone global… well, I mean we have international orders… but still! What was just a sparkly rhinestone design is now also a screen print design for the less-blingy types and the guys who want to get in on this. (Yep, guys want in…) And by request also, we adapted the image for a rhinestone version for mosaic DS.  Options! The original rhinestone design is still the most popular so far. Orders have been coming in for 3 days now.  People from 11 states have ordered so far! Wow! Click HERE to go check out all the details or get yours! How fun will it be to see all these walking around in Indy this summer…that’s what I keep thinking!

31 for 21: Trip with Coach Katie

Braska reporting: Last week on Friday, Mommy and I took a trip with Coach Katie.  She went with us to talk to a bunch of 6th graders in another town a little far way from here about Down syndrome.  Mommy talked to 6 classes of them… she said the same thing every time and they watched a video.  Coach Katie talked, too. She told a little about my cheer squad that I was on last year.  After we talked, we went and had some lunch with the teachers. One of them is Mommy’s friend from a long time ago.  Me and Katie took some silly pictures, too.  Well, mostly I was silly… It was fun day.  This is our second year to go down there and talk to the kids. And we’ll probably go next year, too.

31 for 21 : Poster child

(If you are not familiar with 31 for 21,  I'll explain soon.  October is Down syndrome awareness month. Posting will improve when I can have time to do it at properly from my computer.) Today I'm enjoying looking at last summer when B was the little model for the big fundraising event for the school she had just graduated from... Cute little hula girl .

Celebrity in training

There’s been some things like web pages and booklets that have my pictures on them lately.  And lots of my friends are there, too.  Here’s a couple if you want to see them! **Be sure to check out the DSAGSL.org page about WDSD. Some familiar faces helping the page be adorable!  **This was the All Ability Expo where my cheer squad did a show.  I’m in there if you look for me. (5th picture from the top) **And here’s our little email newsletter from the DSAGSL .  Each week I get to be up there in the top with my smile! We heard that I’m also on one of those big signs next to the highway for one of my schools, but we haven’t seen it yet.  It’s on one of those like a TV that changes it’s picture every minute or so, and we haven’t been able to see if it’s me yet.

31 for 21: Full fall day of fun

First we started with some pictures in the backyard with the leaves. We didn’t want to take real pictures, so Mommy just got some of us being silly. But we’re still cute, I say. KiKi just kept wanting to pose. We did stand together. For just a second. But then we wanted to just throw leaves in the air. Then we went to the store and got a few last things we needed for the big picnic. It was the picnic for all my friends here who are “extra” cool like me.  KiKi tried to do monkey bars but Maddie had to help her.  She’s nice like that. We had to leave the picnic early to go to see Coach Sara and Coach Steve at their game.  They teach us to cheer so we wanted to see THEM cheer at the football game!  Go LU! KiKi sat with Coach Shannon, Coach Sara’s mommy.  I sat with Daddy. The cheerleaders did a little show at halftime. Coach Sara’s up in the air. Here’s a close shot of her. Then Coach Sara and Coach St...

176/366 Changing time

This was a busy clothes-changing day!  First we got dressed for church. We took pictures. Of course. Then we changed after church to go to have more pictures taken. This time it’s for the calendar with all my “extra” special friends who live in our town.  We took pictures before we left. Of course. Jack and Dashlyn came to take pictures for the calendar too.  We did a few all together.  Some of us weren’t in a very good picture-ing mood.  (Jack was a little bit grouchy, and it was really hot.) After we got done there, we went home and changed AGAIN for cheer.  But we forgot to take any more pictures.  Oops.  That’ll just have to be enough for now.

81/366 Four friends, One great WDSD!

Today was SUCH a busy day! We did so much stuff for Happy Down Syndrome Day! (That’s what we called it when we saw people… we told lots of people!) We got together at school early so we could take some pictures. Sometimes us girls giggle about stuff, and Jack just ignores us. There will be more soon… but Mommy was up most of the sleeping time last night getting ready for today, so we’re going to bed now. Hope you had a great day!!!

27/366 Drinking and Jumping

It’s very late and it was big day, so here it is quick! After school, we had a special lunch at Chimi’s and Daddy got to come meet us there too.  It was fun! After Daddy went back to work, we finished up our lunch.  Mommy was giving me drinks and decided to let me try to use the straw again.  And I surprised her BIG!  I got drinks with the straw!  That’s new! After we got home from lunch, it was time for naps. We had to rest up before out big party tonight!!!  I got to bring Jingles home for the weekend. He’s our class pet at school.  I get to do stuff with him and write about it in my journal.  Of course I want to show him to you too!  He tucked me in for nap… KiKi had to take a turn with Jingles, too, of course.  She thought he was cuddly. Tonight we went to Jump4Fun for a big party with all my friends who are “extra” cute like me.  I took Jingles along to show him how fun it is there. We had SO much...

31 for 21: School pictures

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month. So we’ll highlight a few little special things about what DS means in our house. [I have Down syndrome. I go to school and get pictures just like my friends.] Here’s some of my school pictures from a few weeks ago.  I think I did ok.  Usually Mommy gets growly with me because I don’t like to look at the camera and smile.  And the people taking pictures always try to be silly or shake things at me, and I just look at them like they’re crazy. She was pretty surprised to see that some of the pictures were not too bad.  These are our favorite ones…  This is when I was telling them how many ways I was the best kid there!  1. I’m the cutest. 2. I’m the smallest—which in the weird rules of my family means I’m the cutest, thanks to my Great Grandma F. 3. I had the best outfit there, complete with super cool shoes.  That’s what I think. (All photos courtesy of Lace.) (Mommy note: Here’s a ...
