182/366 Best outside places

Aunt Karol’s house is the BEST place to play!  They have all kinds of fun room to play and cool stuff to play on.  Our angel friend Laynee’s garden was so pretty. They have a super fun climbing and swinging and sliding place.  I like to climb up high and watch everyone…     We got to ride all over on the little car that could drive in the grass.  Fun! There’s lots of cousins and family and friends, and lots of people have fun animals! The best part is the people, of course!!  Jade played with us a lot! And we loved to get to see Jamee again too.  Can’t wait til she moves back to our town when school starts again! There were yummies to be eaten… And of course, baths at the end of the day.  I’m not sure if we want to go home or not…   Shhhhhhhh. Maybe we’ll just hide in the closet so we can stay longer!

34/366 Sleepover silliness

We are staying at Auntie Rachel’s and Uncle Patrick’s tonight.  Mommy has to work tonight and really early tomorrow, and Daddy’s hanging out with Mr. Brent this weekend. We played some ping pong and I thought it was GREAT! We took a bath in her Biiiiiiiiiiig bathtub.  And there was even bubbles! It’s time for bed now.  Tomorrow we have dance class and then we go see Mommy at work for a while.

11/366 Late to PJ day

I got up early today, but then I went back to sleep in Mommy’s bed.  I didn’t sleep very well last night, so she let me sleep for a while.  But then it was time for school and I just woke up!  I was kinda snotty in my nose, so I got to take a nice warm shower. We call it de-snotting.  I just like it because I LOVE to take showers! Oh, and it really does feel better to get all that icky stuff out of my nose.  I finally got to school, and it was PJ day, but Mommy forgot to take a picture of me in my p-jammies because we were in a big hurry to get to school and then after school too.  Don’t worry, I’ll wear p-jammies in a picture again soon! We finally got to eat lunch and take naps, then when Daddy got home, we all went to the Y.  Mommy took me and KiKi to the pool to play and swim and swim and swim, while Daddy went to work out. When we got home, Dad showed how strong he was. Except he sure made a funny face while he was picking us up in the...

Because we are dirty

Tonight we wanted to take a bath.  KiKi kept asking to take a bath, and Mommy asked her why she wanted to take a bath so badly.  She said, “I’m really dirty, Mom.  I need a bath because I’m dirty.” Then I said, “Yeah. I’m dirty, too. We wanna take a bath pleeeeeeze!” Mommy said she didn’t know if we were really all that dirty, but it was ok if we wanted to get in the bathtub for some splashing fun.  So we took a bath. We even got to turn on the water bubbles that splash around. Mommy said we didn’t seem all THAT dirty, but baths are good even if there’s only a little dirt. And then it was bedtime…  OH, and guess what?!?  I drank all my milk again today!  That’s 4 days with no milk in my belly tube!! I’m getting better at drinking good, too.  YAY!

KiKi’s Turn: Baby bath

We were looking at some old movies of when KiKi was a tiny baby, and we found this one of the first time she took a bath in the big girl bath with me.  She had just had her birthday for 6 months old, and she was being such a big girl, I let her try my big bath tub out for fun. We’re big girls now, but we still love our baths!

Nope. No cheese.

I’m still not feeling good at all.  (Mommy’s telling about it more over here .) But Mommy and me were looking at some of the pictures, while she was holding me today, that we haven’t been able to tell stories about yet, so we thought we’d show you a silly one. This is what we do when Mommy wants us to “say cheese.” KiKi started it.  We have a lot of pictures like this.

Growing up numbers

Today Miss Cathy came to see me.  She helps me make sure that I’m eating good healthy things and getting enough cal-lor-ees.  She has one of those silly scales that I have to sit on to see how big I am.  My new numbers are bigger than I’ve ever been!  The scale said 23 pounds 4 ounces today.  And I was 33 3/4 inches tall!  Woo!  I’m getting bigger! Mommy says I still got alot of growing to do, but it’s good that I’m trying hard.  My jeans have not been fitting me very well lately because my belly is getting smaller.  (And I don’t really have a belly anyway!)  I even had to change my pants at school today before Mommy left me for the day because my jeans wouldn’t stay up.  Ha!  I had droopy drawers, Mommy said. Me and KiKi can wear the same pants, but KiKi is a little shorter, so I need my pants to be a little bit longer.  But when we wear our summer clothes, we can wear the same ones.  Isn’t that funny??...

Bathtime Practice

KiKi took a bath with me yesterday for the first time, like for real. She didn’t have her own tub or a chair or anything! She took a bath just like me, just sitting in the tub. While we were in there, I practiced a few things like letters and biting on my yellow letters (it’s supposed to help me eat, Mommy says). So here’s a little movie to show you some fun stuff… Kinlee did her own movie of her stuff on her page if you wanna see it, too.

Sister bath time

Mommy decided this week that we would try to take our baths at the same time, me and KiKi. So she put KiKi's little tub in my big tub and we had a pretty fun time. Kinlee wasn't scared because I told her it was going to be ok and the water wouldn't hurt her. We got all soaped up and washed off. Kinlee liked laying in the water and I splashed a little. Mommy washed my hair and it was all bubbly. I think this sister bath time thing is gonna be more fun when KiKi can splash too!

P is for Pictures

It's been a long time since I told you some stories and showed some pictures!! Mommy has been pretty busy with alot of other things, and I've been getting into all kinds of things now that I can pull up on everything and cruise around the whole living room. AND I can crawl real fast now! So she's not getting as much done as quickly as before. But I'm having lots of fun going to my room all by myself and playing for a while. And Mommy likes that too. I like to play by myself and make big messes with my books and toys. Here's a bunch of pictures from the last few days. Mommy is not very good at bending over the tub now, so Daddy's been helping me with baths, and he's way more fun. I've been working on my music and drums, and we splash alot! Last week, on Thursday, I went with Mommy and her friends to meet Miss Kayla for dinner. She is from far away, but Mommy met her online, so it was nice of them to all get to meet each other for the first time. ...

Enjoying my presents

I got some good things on Christmas Day. Books to read and toys to play with and learn with. I've been enjoying playing with all of it this week. Mommy only lets me have some of it at a time so I don't get tired of it all. Grandpa J got me a great big bag of color balls, and they are fun! Mommy put the gate up in the hallway and closed all the doors so I could just push them all over and they couldn't get away. I played with them for a LONG time! Here's a little movie of me playing with my color balls too. I also got some drums to play with in the bath tub, and I figured out how to do them the first time I played with them! Here's another little movie to show you. ( Mommy note: There is a pretty impressive minute in there for us...she "got it" about the drums in a way we didn't expect. Can you tell what it was??)

Standing and splashing

Today I practiced standing alot. I'm working on helping my legs get stronger so I can walk by myself soon. I was a little grouchy though, maybe because my teeth hurt some, so I just did little bits at a time. My friends Amber and Katelyn gave me these fun tables to play with, and Mommy put them close to each other so I could go from one to the other. It takes me a while, but I am getting better. I also practiced my standing and sitting today, and I'm getting so much faster! Look at me go! Make video montages at www.OneTrueMedia.com Then tonight I took a bath and Daddy helped me wash my hair. He is so silly, and he made me look silly too!

Mommy report: Therapy update

Thought it was about time for an update. Braska's sitting in the bathtub having a good ole' time and I sit next to her with the laptop catching up on some blogs and other online items. It's been a CRAZY week...how does that keep happening?!? Many of you have asked about Braska's therapy since we had a bit of a sad incident and misunderstanding with a couple of our therapists in July. The good news is, we LOVE our new therapists, she interacts with them very well and is not overwhelmed. This is VERY good. The PT has been impressed with how she's doing, and so have I. We've worked on many things in the little break we've had, but I always feel like I've not done enough. But Braska is just now starting to do some cruising along the bathtub and the couch, and she's picking it up quickly. She's still loving climbing on the couch, boxes, stairs (a little) and whatever else looks to her like the right size and shape to climb on. She loves to practice he...

Picture catch-up

I've been having trouble finding time to get on the computer and show you pictures. So I've got a bunch to catch up on. I'll do some here, then I'll have more tomorrow. There's been alot going on! A couple weeks ago Mommy and I went to Grammy's house for a quick visit and a baby shower. (There wasn't even a baby yet, and there was no water, so I didn't understand.) While we were there, Grammy put me on the bouncy horse, and it was kind of fun. Daddy said he wanted to see a ponytail in my hair instead of just the little piggies. So we tried it one day. It was cute, and it made me look like a big girl, Mommy said, but it didn't want to stay in when I was rolling around on the floor. I have squishy letters for my bath time that stick to the walls. But my favorite thing to do is chew on them. And lots of them at one time! They also stick to me! Here's my newest word. You have to listen quick and carefully because it's a secret. Daddy ...
