Eat in movie

No matter that the table is a plastic one meant for outside or that the "big screen" is the Nabi... Still a delightful experience to enjoy a show with a meal. Clam chowder for B and pb sandwich for K go wonderfully with Wild Kratts.

31 for 21: Reading together

Braska reporting :   Sometimes KiKi and I will read together. I can read books by myself, but she’s a lot faster at it than I am.  I like to sit with her and look while she reads books to me. On Friday, we were reading Curious George.  It’s a big book with lots of his stories in it.   While we were reading, she asked me to scratch an itch on her arm.  She kept telling me where to scratch for her.  I’m happy to help.  She reads books to me, and I scratch for her.  We work pretty well together. Mommy’s Edit : I found this tonight, and I couldn’t help but smile… how far they’ve come!  From 6/28/2009, ages 2.5 and almost 5 months…  the leaning and supporting roles are a bit reversed now, but they’re still together.

Happy Birthday Papa!

Today it’s Papa Beagle’s birthday…  So we made him a movie. Hope you had a really great birthday Papa!

Doing our chores

Braska reporting: Daddy sometimes has us help with the dishes. He calls it matching, but I know that it’s really what’s supposed to be called chores. I’ve heard of those, and Mommy sometimes give us “jobs” but they’re probably chores, too. We’re good at matching the spoons and forks in the right spots.  It’s a very serious job, so we have to concentrate. But every chore is more fun when you stop and smile sometimes!

More attempts at porch pics

Mom reporting: I thought since the first day pics didn’t go so well, I’d try again.  8/15/13  Day 2—“No, Mom. I just want to get on the bus!” 8/22/13 Day 7 —There was some extra time before the bus came to get Braska. So they agreed to take a few shots.  Though this is what I got first…. After a few that didn’t work, we did get one a little more “classic.” This seems to make Kinlee look taller than Braska, which she is, but not by quite this much.  Later that day, Braska came home with different pants on. Love when that happens…  I though it was funny that both times she’s come home with these pants on in the past 10 days, (the pants from her “extra outfit” for school, pants with several bright colors in stripes), it just works out that the colors somehow coordinate the colors in her top.  Must be popular colors in her wardrobe.  This is great since they only change the pants, not the top (which I included in her extra...

31 for 21: Sharing bouncy space

This afternoon I went back outside again, and this time KiKi came out after she finished her lunch.  We just talked and bounced for a little bit. We went and played some golf in the yard and got Mommy to push us on the swings for a while too.  It’s gonna be cold soon, so we have to get some good outside play time in. Tomorrow… my first field trip in Kindergarten!!!

31 for 21: Cardinals cute

Today was the first day this year that we all wore our Cardinals stuff.  They’re baseball, you know.  They’re gonna win, even though they didn’t win today. Mommy spent the day working on bows that she’s making for our school.  So we had to go to Hobby Lobby to get more ribbon and stuff.  We like to practice our balance beam walks on the lines sometimes before we get back in the car.  When we lost today, we comforted each other. That’s a big word for giving someone a hug to make it all ok. Win tomorrow, Cardinals!!!

196/366 Bright summer princesses

For church, we wore new dresses that we got as a present.  Mine is blue, and KiKi likes magenta.  She likes to find things that are magenta.  I think she just likes to say it. After our showers, we got dressed and watched a little Sesame Street. After we got all ready, we went outside to take a few pictures in our pretty dresses.  KiKi didn’t have her shoes on yet, though. Sometimes I get to making silly faces… ”Hey, did you see that one, KiKi?  That was a good one!”

185/366 Too hot for fireworks

For America’s birthday, we like to go to Miss Cindy’s house, so this year… we did again! We were SO glad to see Grandma C.  KiKi squeezed a little too hard though. Miss Cindy always has the best snacks. She even had neat things to keep the chip dip cool while we were outside when it was 105 degrees! Since we were going to be in hot sun for a long time, we wore our outside swim suits. They keep our arms safe from sun.   We like to hang out with Mommy in the water.  She kept trying to relax on the lay-down thing, but me and KiKi climbed on top of her.  We called it the Mommy Boat. Mommy tried to help me work on my floating on my back. Because I do NOT like that at all.  But I did pretty good this time!  We counted to 10 each time we practiced, and we did lots of practice times! KiKi had to do it, too, of course.  She did a good job! We were in the pool ALL day and had so much fun!...

176/366 Changing time

This was a busy clothes-changing day!  First we got dressed for church. We took pictures. Of course. Then we changed after church to go to have more pictures taken. This time it’s for the calendar with all my “extra” special friends who live in our town.  We took pictures before we left. Of course. Jack and Dashlyn came to take pictures for the calendar too.  We did a few all together.  Some of us weren’t in a very good picture-ing mood.  (Jack was a little bit grouchy, and it was really hot.) After we got done there, we went home and changed AGAIN for cheer.  But we forgot to take any more pictures.  Oops.  That’ll just have to be enough for now.

172/366 Posing. Singing. Walking. Cooking.

Before we left for the day, Mommy wanted pictures of us in our cute little outfits. KiKi was making a goofy smile. I tried to show her how to do it right. But she didn’t listen. She just made her whole body goofy.  She likes to pose funny. And if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.  (Mommy says that’s not always a good idea, by the way.) We went down to Grandma C’s church to check on a few things for Daddy’s big party on Friday night.  Mommy was working on testing the microphone, so we helped by singing a little.  Here’s a movie of each of us…   After that, we went to meet Uncle Ryan for lunch at his work office, which is sometimes Daddy’s work office too.   Daddy was there today but really busy so he couldn’t come with us.  KiKi and Uncle Ryan went faster than me and Mommy. For dinner, KiKi wanted pancakes.  We don’t have those very often, but Mommy said ok.  So they both put ...

170/366 Wet with water

It’s been pretty warm, and when it’s warm, we like to be wet. And the best thing to be wet with is water. We filled up our little pool, but we mostly just got the water out of it to go water the grass and the plants. KiKi likes to take silly pictures, even when she’s wet. Here’s a little movie of our water slide we kind of made… Make a video - it's fun, easy and free! www.onetruemedia.com

156/366 Helping with handprints

KiKi and I wanted to make handprints on the window.  Mommy says there are MORE than enough already there, but we thought it would be fun anyway.  I told KiKi, “Push hard!” So we were making funny noises and pushing on the door hard as we could. We made prints, but they weren’t very good.  KiKi said we need to get rid of the old ones and start again.  Mommy said she would maybe clean it, but it seemed silly to do it only so we could make more handprints. KiKi likes to listen to music but she wants to be able to see the words for the songs, so when she hears a good one on Joy FM , Mommy looks it up for her on YouTube and she can learn the words.  She always knows them right away after the first time and then she can sing along. (Mommy note: And that is why I’m so glad that I made the decision to do only Christian/family-friendly radio in the car or at home with the girls.  If she wants to be knowing the words--and she does insist—then tha...

155/366 Flashback: Popsicles

Apparently we didn’t take any pictures today. And that’s weird because we did a lot of stuff.  We went to church and had lunch and played, and mommy had a meeting. Then we went to cheer. And no pictures? I don’t know what’s going on with Mommy and Daddy. Slacking, I guess. So here’s a picture from one year ago today .  Me and Kiki were sick and Mommy gave us popsicles on the deck to help us feel a little better.

151/366 In the back back

We cleaned out our van today because we’re getting a new one! Well, a new one that’s older.  But it’s had a lot less driving than this one. And it looks JUST the same because we like this one lots! While Mommy was cleaning out, we hopped in the back back. That’s the part where the groceries and other stuff usually ride.  Me and KiKi thought it was pretty fun back there! We went out to take our van to Grammy. She had our new one. She was at our cousin Arden’s house playing with her.  Mommy will show you more about the new van over here if you wanna see it… we like the new one, mostly because it’s just like the old one!
