A week's catch-up

It's kind of been a busy week and Mommy's just starting to feel better, so we're a little behind with our stories and pictures again. Grammy's been here with me again this week, so I've been busy doing stuff with her. I think we'll do better keeping up soon! On Monday, Aunt Hyla and Cousin Lindsay came to see Kinlee and let us meet Cousin Carly. She's so cute! I remember when I was just a little baby like that. But she is SO strong! Miss Trish at Daddy's work sent me some cute clothes, like this shirt. Thanks, Miss Trish! On Tuesday, we went down to the place where I get my glasses. They take good care of me when I need them fixed or if they don't fit right. They're so good that they are a big reason we moved here last year! Here's me waiting patiently... "Where did she go? Are they done yet?" "I think they'll be done soon. Just a few more minutes." On Wednesday night, Mommy and Grammy went to do some shopping ...

Grandma and Grandpa week

It's been a big week for me. Lots going on and some of it not so fun. I'm feeling better now, so I'll tell you about it. Sunday night Mommy and I came to Grandma and Grandpa's house to stay so that we could get my glasses fixed and stuff. Monday morning Grandma C gave me a bath, and we played and splashed. Then she got me all lotioned up by the fire where it was toasty warm. Then I played some with my toys, but it was hard because my glasses kept falling off. There's a picture to show you how they're broken. And there's one to show you how Mommy tried to make the broken part soft so I could use them a little. But they just felt funny on my nose because they didn't fit right. We did go out for a little bit and shopped for some stuff for me. Grandma C got me some new socks that I needed and some sleeping outfits. It was fun to go shopping. When we got home, me and Grandma C went for a walk too, because it wasn't too cold outside. Tuesda...

Big uh-oh

I'm in trouble, so I have to tell you quick. I take my glasses off alot because they get in my way. A few days ago I rolled over on them and bent them funny. Mommy was not happy with me. This afternoon, I pulled them off again while Mommy was trying to take a picture with a funny hat we found. She said no, again. And she put them back on. We went to the other room, and I played on the floor. When Mommy came back in, she saw where I threw them...again. But when she picked them up she got upset with me. She saw that I broke my glasses. I messed them up real bad. She's not very happy with me, so it's time for nap. She is packing our things so we can go to St. Louis tonight and get appointments to get new glasses tomorrow. We had to go later this week to see Dr. R for my button check-up anyway, so we'll just get to spend the whole week. I still don't think she's very happy. I think I'm in trouble for not listening when Mommy and Daddy tell me not ...

Ears and eyes

Today Mommy and I were in St. Louis at the kids hospital where I go to see my doctors. First I'll let Mommy tell her big people part of the story, then I'll show you some pictures of what I did. Mommy note: We started with ears--audiology and ENT--as you probably read earlier in the post below . In the afternoon, we went to see Dr. S at the Eye Center. I had received a call early this morning that Dr. R was ill and asking if we wanted to see Dr. S instead, as the caller mentioned that she knew we were coming from "far away." I said, "Yes, please," and thanked her for not just bumping us to another day. Turns out, Dr. S is great, so we'll continue to follow with him anyway. He is the optometrist that works closely with Dr. C, the ophthalmologist, who we saw initially and is the head of the department. In summary, Dr. S said the glasses were doing what they were supposed to, the eyes were doing what they were supposed to in response to the glasses, and tha...

Glasses!

That's what Mommy calls this thing on my face. Glasses. She says they're supposed to help me see things, and I'm kind of surprised that they do help. I can see things close up so much better. But they feel funny on my face. Here's my first picture with my new glasses. (I was kind of tired.) When I got back to Grandma C's house, everyone came all around me to see how I looked. I think they all thought I was pretty. Grandma C took a bunch of pictures of me playing with Mommy in the kitchen. I tried to take my glasses off a few times, but Mommy kept on playing games to keep my hands busy. I was sitting like a big girl and I could see Mommy's face so much better that I got all giggly. Mommy says I look like a big girl and not her little tiny baby. Silly Mommy...I've been a big girl for a while now. What do you think of my new glasses??
