Home and happy

We’re home. Back from Grammy’s.  And we had a really fun time there!  But it’s fun to come home and see Mommy and Daddy, too.

Before bed last night, we piled up on Mommy. Usually we wrestle and roll on the floor with Daddy most of the time, but he was busy, so KiKi asked Mommy to sit on the floor. Then we got her!

I’ve been telling them all about what we did and stuff while we were at Grammy’s.  KiKi likes to steal my stories, though. She talks a lot faster than me, too.  But this morning I got up first, and I went in to wake up Mommy.  Then we stayed in bed for a while and talked about the fun things we did.  Until I told her, “Mommy? I want some bef-tist.”  That means I wanna get out of bed and go eat yogurt or oatmeal or something yummy.  So we did.

Today we went down to Auntie Rachel’s house to let Cami out and play for a bit. Cami is their new puppy. She is already getting BIG from when we first saw her. She scares me a little because she gets excited to see me.   And she is as tall as my head, so she can knock me over when she gets too excited. But she played for a while so me and KiKi could watch Wow Wow Wubzy while we had some lunch.  We don’t get that show at home, so we always watch it at Auntie Rachel’s when we visit.  Cami was all tired out when we left, so she went back in her bed and took a nap.

What’s next??  Gotta start getting ready for school now! My new class starts on Monday!

Ummm Hi, Mr. Deer

We are at Grammy’s house. We’re doing lots of fun new things. But I’m not sure what to think of this guy. He’s stuck in a wall.  And he doesn’t move much. KiKi was ok with touching him… I’m not so sure.

Tomorrow Mommy is coming to get us!

Fresh air medicine

Today we went outside to play for a little while.  It was still in the morning time early when the sun isn’t too hot.  Me and KiKi are feeling a little bit better.  Mostly KiKi is feeling better.  I still don’t feel very good, but I thought it would be fun to go outside and play a little.  Mommy said the fresh air outside might be good for all of us.  I didn’t know that fresh outside air could be like medicine, but it sounds like better medicine than the other yucky stuff I have to take.

We did some swinging, and some sliding, and more swinging.  We LOVE to swing a lot.  Mommy pushed us for a long time, but then she got tired of pushing.  She keeps trying to teach us to do up and down with our legs and swing ourselves, but it’s way more fun having her push us up high!

She brought our jumper outside, too, and we played on that for a while.  KiKi is really getting good at jumping pretty high.  I like to hang on to the bar so I don’t fall off.

After we played, we got to sit in a big chair and have popsicles.  Miss A, my super great teacher at school, brought them over for me when I was still trying to get better from having my eyes fixed.  Since we got all hot outside, Mommy said we could have a popsicle to cool us down.  KiKi is better at eating them than me, but I like to lick them just a little.  It was a good thing Mommy put a towel over our legs or we would have been all super sticky.  I don’t eat mine very fast, and they kind of get drippy everywhere.

(Mommy note: Remember—if you’re new here—this is HUGE that Braska will willingly hold a popsicle for a period of time and intermittently take little tastes. In the video below, you’ll see what happens if she gets more than just the melted liquid in her mouth. That’s not allowed, in her opinion.  But progress is slowly continuing… )

Here’s a little movie of our yummy popsicles… Mommy’s voice sounds a little funny because she’s got sick germs in there.

(Mommy note: For those of you who have been asking for recent speech/language examples from Braska… She’s not really 100% still today, so she’s being a little quiet, and it’s hard to hear because of the air conditioner in the background, and me talking over her, of course, but phrases in here are “Please give it to me,” “I made a mess,” “I’ll clean it up,” “Thank you Miss Amy.”)

sisteroutside3Did you see KiKi at the end? Her grumpy face? That’s what we call it. She does that face a lot.  See…. it’s like this…

We finished our popsicles and we went back in. Mommy was tuckered out.  We played for a bit and now it’s time for nap.  We’re all gonna rest because Mommy ‘specially needs to sleep since she has to go to work tonight, sick or not sick!

Hope we’re ALL feeling better soon!

Sick days and sad times

Me and KiKi and Mommy and Daddy are sick. Yep. All of us.  It’s not much fun at our house right now.

Yesterday, me and KiKi went to the doctor because I got very very hot and KiKi said her ear was hurting a lot.  Dr. A said we both have one ear that’s sick, so she gave us medicine.  When we checked my temp-a-chur, the numbers said 103.1. I was feeling very bad, for sure.

When we got home from the doctor, KiKi and I went to nap.  She decided to sleep on the floor behind the big chair. I guess she was hot and wanted to be close to where the cold air comes out.

Mommy’s been sick, too, but she had to go to work last night anyway.  She looked really bad!  Today she sounds really funny and can’t talk right. And she keeps coughing. I’m coughing, too, but KiKi isn’t.  She is feeling better, so her medicine must be helping.  Then Daddy got sick and said his throat was hurting. He is feeling bad tonight, so Mommy didn’t go to work (because she is more sick) and Daddy’s in bed.

I told you it was no fun around here today, right?

The sad part about all this is that yesterday was my last day of school with my big class friends, and today was my last day with my little class friends.  So I missed all my friends and didn’t get to say goodbye to them.

So Mommy made up something quick that Miss Julie took to my class today for everyone to have.  Maybe this way I’ll get to see them again soon.  Some will be in my summer class, but not all of them.

We folded them up nice and Miss A was going to make sure my friends got them.  I hope some of my friends wanna come play this summer!!

I hope we all feel better tomorrow!!
