31 for 21: Helping Grandma C win

Braska reporting: Today after Bears Sunday football time, I helped Grandma beat Daddy and Uncle Ethon at card games. I'm like a lucky charm. The Bears should have me come help them maybe.

Family Bears Day

It’s that time again!!! FOOOOOOTBALLLLL! Braska reporting: Uncle Ethon and Auntie Cheryl have “the ticket” this year, so we’re going to their house for Bears on Sunday after church.  This was our first week, and we got ALL dressed for it! And Kinlee got excited! Mommy and I practiced our cheer poses with her, but we didn’t jump this time. We won! So yay Bears!  Bear down, Chicago Bears!

36/366 Did your team win?

I have to go to bed, so I won’t know how it ended.   But it’s ok since the Bears aren’t playing. So sad. Did you watch it, and did your guys win?

1/365 Very Big Bear

We’re going to try to show you a picture every day this year. ( Abby’s mom did it and we loved it last year!)  It might not always be super great, but we’re going to try.  I have a camera and sometimes take pictures, so sometimes I’ll put my pictures up too. Today, we’ll start with Mommy’s picture.  We watched the Bears at Miss Cindy’s today, and she has a room with a very very BIG TV and super comfy chairs to sit in, kind of like when we go to the movies.  See how big it is?  It’s way bigger than me! And we won!!!! Yay!  See ya, Bears… Get ready for next season!

31 for 21: Bear Down, Chicago Bears!

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month. So we’ll highlight a few little special things about what DS means in our house. [I have Down syndrome. I love football! I like to cheer for the Bears and I LOVE touchdowns!] Football is big at our house.  But Bears football is the best!!  On game days we get our Bears Wear out and get ready to cheer. This was us last Sunday… And this was from yesterday… we started with some reading practice with Daddy before we left in the morning. Then we went to Auntie Rachel’s to watch the game.  They get the channels that play Bears, and we don’t. So they are nice enough to let us watch it there.  We took some pictures on the fireplace. Grandma  C got to come yesterday for the Bears game, with Uncle Ethon and Auntie Cheryl.  It was a good game, and we won!!  I got to yell “Touchdown” a few times, and that’s lots of fun when we all jump around and cheer! And we took our ...

One fun uncle

Well, we have MORE than one! KiKi and me have a whole bunch of uncles. Three on Mommy’s side and two on Daddy’s side. We like all of them, but the one we see the most is Uncle Ethon. He’s Daddy’s brother, and he is SO much fun! We get to see him every week when we go to Grandma C and PaPaw John’s house for football. He plays with us and lets us climb on him, and when he does his silly push-ups all the time we sometimes ride on his back! KiKi used to be scared of him, and she used to cry all the time when she saw him come in, but now she plays with him all the time and gets all excited to go see him on Sundays. She loves to cheer for Da Bears with him, too. Even though I’m not as fast as KiKi for running around and being goofy, and I just like to watch when they get all silly like that, I get to play with him sometimes, too. But if you ask me, the best part about having Uncle Ethon around is Miss Cheryl… the BEST napping buddy anywhere! And I think Uncle Ethon finally figured it o...

Go Bears Go!

Sundays we got to Grandma C’s house for Bears football.  And I found the chair in the corner and got up in it by myself, so we cheered for me just like we cheer for the Bears!  It was like my own little touchdown! (The Bears didn’t win, but we always have fun even when the Bears make us sad.)

Happy Mommy’s Birthday Day!

I took a picture this morning of me and Mommy.  I’m still learning how to take pictures good, but it’s still cute I think.  Probably because it’s mostly me! We’re going to Grandma C’s for football today. So I gotta get ready to go! Go Bears!  You better win for Mommy’s Birthday Day! Hope you do something fun today!

Woo Hoo! Touchdown!

Today was Bears Day again after church time.  We went to Grandma C’s and watched the Bears beat the Carolina ones.  At the beginning of the game, there was lots of jumping and dancing around because we got TWO touchdowns right close together! I know all about touchdowns.  It’s when one of the guys goes in to the big box at the end of the grass and he gets points. Everybody jumps up and yells “touchdown!!” and reaches really high in the air.  I learned this when I was a tiny baby, and now I do it every time just like the big people.  It’s fun! Wanna practice?  Get ready…..Go Bears!  Touchdown!   Good job!  You can do it again next Sunday with us!

3 birthdays for 3! #2

Sunday was time for Bears again, but since it was at night this time, we did some birthday stuff first.  Well, FIRST we got dressed and went to church at PaPaw’s church.  We put on pretty outfits and everything!  But when Mommy wanted to take pictures, we just got silly. Grandma C, PaPaw, Uncle Ethon, and Miss Cheryl came to watch the Bears with us.  We did birthday candle again, and Mommy helped me blow it out. PaPaw and Grandma C got me a neat bike! It has 3 wheels since I’m 3.  Uncle Levi and Auntie Janice sent me fun number puzzles.

31 for 21: Serious coloring

After we watched the Bears win on Sunday (Woo hoo! I got to say “Touchdown!” alot!!), we took a little trip in the car, and then we went to eat dinner.  The nice lady there gave me a paper and colors. And I was doing really good til Mommy kept flashing her camera at me. Can you tell what I was trying to say to her with my eyes? “Mom. Please. Let me color. Enough with the pictures.” (Mommy note: Since we’re highlighting DS this month, note Braska’s little pinky finger on her left hand. See how it’s a little crooked.  It’s a trait of DS. And we think it’s adorable. Interestingly, it’s also not uncommon in M’s family.)

31 for 21: Do you like football too??

Mommy and her friend are doing something kind of cool , so make sure to go check it out on her blog !  We want to see you other kids in your football cheering clothes, too!

31 for 21: Waiting for Grandma C

Sunday after church, we went to Grandma C’s and PaPaw’s for football. But when we got there, no one was home.  Daddy left me to watch for them. (Mommy note: Of course, we did not actually leave her, but she sure did sit there for a while as we unloaded the van, content as she could be.  How darn cute is that little bug on a cooler?!?)

Football time!!

It’s time for football, and we are so excited at my house!   I know just who I am supposed to cheer for and I know what to say.  I say,  “Go Bears!” and I say “Touchdown!” I got all dressed in my new jersey shirt Daddy got me and my new Bears shoes that Auntie Rachel got for me. This is what Mommy calls my a-loof pose. This is me putting my arms up for “Touchdown”!! Here’s my new way to smile. I say, “Eeeeee” and poke my cheeks.  It’s a secret where I learned it, and Mommy can’t figure it out. These are my new Nike shoes with Bears colors. I like them alot! And here’s what we call my “sad face” when I got my fingers hurt Sunday night.  I wanted to touch the fan when Mommy wasn’t looking.  It didn’t feel good at all. The Bears didn’t win Sunday night, but we had a fun time watching the game!  Go Bears!

Picture catch-up, November

These are some pictures that I didn't get put up when we took them. So I'll just put a bunch of them up for you to see. I borrowed Daddy's hat because it matched my dress pretty good! Don't you think it looks better on me??? We went for a quick visit with Miss Jessie and our friends at her church. Miss Melanie is so nice and she always reads my stories, so I showed her how good I'm getting at practicing steps. We all went to lunch together and it was pretty fun to play with the boys at Miss Jessie's house after. For Thanksgiving, we went to Grammy and Papa's house. It was a nice day, and I just played around on the floor alot. We call it "chilling out." I made some funny faces when Mommy tried to take pictures. The next day, we went back to the kids hospital so I could do another test. This time we got the nice lady who doesn't hurt me when she takes my blood. Daddy went with us this time and we got to look out the big high-up window by where...
