31 for 21: Thanks goodness for friends!

Flashback from Nov 2011… fun times.

31 for 21: School festival

Braska reporting : Last night my school had a fall festival.  I asked a lot if we could go. So finally it was time to go.  I looked for my friend Jacob. I didn’t see him, but I saw some other people, like one of my teachers, Mr. H.  We went to the book fair and Kinlee got a couple of books. We played a bowling game and got some candy. I gave mine to Daddy because I don’t like candy. And I saw Jack and Dashlyn . We rode the hayride together. Then it was time to go. I had a pretty good time!

146/366 Another daddy

This is Jack’s daddy. And Dashlyn’s daddy.  He’s Mr. Allan, and we like him a lot. We got to play at his house for a while tonight, and that’s fun.  He’s not usually there when we go over to play, so it’s always super fun to get to see him.

125/366 Friday fun with friends

Miss Julie had a meeting this morning at school, but Jack and Dasha don’t have school on Fridays, so they came here to play.   We waited by the door for them to get here. Miss Julie took me to school with her since she was going there already.  KiKi and Jack and Dasha played, and when I got home, we all played together. It’s nice to have friends that we get to play with so much!

115/366 Backyard buddies

Jack and Dashlyn came over today after school.  We like when we get to play extra with them.

81/366 Four friends, One great WDSD!

Today was SUCH a busy day! We did so much stuff for Happy Down Syndrome Day! (That’s what we called it when we saw people… we told lots of people!) We got together at school early so we could take some pictures. Sometimes us girls giggle about stuff, and Jack just ignores us. There will be more soon… but Mommy was up most of the sleeping time last night getting ready for today, so we’re going to bed now. Hope you had a great day!!!

31 for 21: Happy Jack Day!

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month. So we’ll highlight a few little special things about what DS means in our house. [I have Down syndrome.  I like to celebrate with my friends and sing them Happy Birthday.] Today its Jack’s birthday.  He’s 5!!!  We went to lunch today for his birthday, and I had lots of fun, but our mommies didn’t enjoy it as much.  You can see about it over here .  I especially like his birthday because it means that MINE is only a few weeks away!!! Since Mommy forgot to take any pictures today, I thought I’d show you a few old ones of me and Jack…. Here’s one from the first day we met … 5/29/2008 Here’s one from when we were signing together … 10/2009 Here’s one from Halloween a couple years ago … 10/31/2009 Here’s one from my first day of 3-school … 11/23/2009 Here’s some of our Christmas p-jammies pictures … 12/11/2009 And one from this year… 08/15/2011 Happy Birthday Jack!!

Me n’Jack: Long time, no play!

Today Jack and Dashlyn came over to play for a while.  Miss Julie had a meeting so they came to our house.  I was glad to see Jack again.  It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to play together, and I missed him! We played for a while in the playroom and had lots of fun, and we also went to the living room and watched Bob the Builder.   Jack called all his family on the phone while he was watching, and Dasha read one of my books. Mommy put us all on the couch for a picture, and we *almost* all looked at the camera. It was so much fun to play that tomorrow WE are going to THEIR house while Mommy gets her hair fixed.  We have a big fancy weekend coming, so all of us have to get ready to be extra pretty. Uncle Ethon is getting married!!! I hope Mommy gets my dress all finished! Tonight we went to meet my teacher and all my friends for this year of school.  I am happy that I got my same teacher from last year, and I ...

Fast and Slow

I love to do opposites. Up and down. Big and small. But my favorite is fast and slow. I love to do all kinds of fun things fast and slow. When Jack was here a few months ago, we practiced our fast and slow after we had lunch. Here's a little movie of our fun...

Catching up: Weeks with Jack

I’m gonna try to share some stories of things I forgot to tell you about when they happened.  It’s been pretty busy, but we are doing better about getting things done, so we’re going to try to do better on our story telling. And of course…lots of pictures!! Jack spent a few weeks at our house in the daytime while Miss Julie was gone to get Dashlyn a few months ago.  We had SO SO much fun!! Jack liked to type emails to his mommy.  KiKi is nosy so she wanted to watch. Who was Jack missing so much??  Mommy! (That’s Miss Julie to the rest of us…) We did lots of things together. All 3 of us. Jack and KiKi played a lot of very silly games. They both can run fast and they like to tackle each other. But when KiKi went to nap, Jack and I would do quieter things, like flashcards, and reading books, and watching Signing Time. Then it would be time for me and Jack to nap too.  I let him use my bed, and he slept ...

She’s Dashlyn Now!

Remember how we have been waiting for Jack’s new little sister to come home?  Well she’s not home yet, but very soon!  Miss Julie and Mr. Allan got to go over to where she lives and meet her, and the people there said she is all theirs now!  So her real name is Dashlyn now!  Isn’t that exciting?!?  Isn’t she just the prettiest little poonchin!?! She’s gonna be my new BFF, and I can’t wait until she can come play at my house.  Mommy says she is gonna be part of my Christmas present this year, and I think that is the best present ever!  I’m gonna show her how to do her hair pretty with bows and how to say funny things and how to wear the cutest little outfits and how to walk like a big girl.  I know about that stuff, you know.  We’re going to have SO much fun!  Go over to her blog and see lots more pictures and read the stories about her playtimes with her new mommy and daddy.

Grandma C Birthday Dress Up Day

Today is Grandma C’s birthday!  And on her birthday, we dress up in fun outfits and play with our friends and we get candy!   Yesterday we went to a party at her church, but she wasn’t there because she’s visiting Miss Karen.  I wish I could go visit Miss Karen.  Maybe we’ll take a trip there someday. Tonight we went to another party, and we took Jack with us!  First we stopped at Miss Linda and Mr. Gary’s house to show them how cute we were in our dresses.  And Jack was a handsome boney guy. (Mommy note: Sorry these pictures are kind of weird.  I’m using a borrowed camera…that I love…but I’m not good at using it CORRECTLY quite yet apparently.  And enjoy all the shots of Jack…remember, his mom and dad are on the other side of the world, so we have to share lots of doses of Jack cuteness!)   After we said bye to Miss Linda and Mr. Gary, we went to the party at our church.  They had games and lots of fun things to d...

Pretty good Friday

Today we just hung around in our p-jammies for most of the day.  That was fun.  We didn’t have to go anywhere so we just played at home almost all day. After nap, KiKi went shopping with Auntie Rachel and me and Mommy got ready to go to dinner with Daddy.  We got a present to go out and eat at the place with the olives, so we did.  I colored and we had a fun time just me and Mommy and Daddy.  KiKi and Auntie Rachel went to dinner with Uncle Patrick, and they had lots of fun, too. Tomorrow Miss Julie and Mr. Allan are leaving to go see Dashlyn !!! They’re going to be gone a little while, so Jack’s going to be at our house A LOT!  Me and KiKi are SO excited!  He’s gonna go to school and eat lunch with us and take naps at our house and play with us and we’re going to have bunches of fun! They don’t get to bring Dashlyn back this time, but Miss Julie and Madelyn go back really soon and then she gets to come home! Woo!  My new friend will be hom...

A busy bee day

I gotta go to bed, but here’s a quick peek at what we did today. First I got dressed for school.  I put on different stuff than usual so I could put my bumblebee dress on at school easier than changing all my clothes.  Everyone at school liked my outfit AND my bumblebee dress, too! (This is the look I give Mommy most of the time when she takes pictures.  She just wants me to look and smile. But I get her every time. It’s what the cool kids do.) Then I got down on the floor before we left for school and looked at my book by the mirror.  It makes TWO books when you do it that way! Then we went to school. Mommy came back to school early today, and we put on my bumblebee dress and hat for my teachers and friends to see.  But I only got to stay a few minutes because I had to go see Miss Sue.  Mommy calls it “feeding therapy” but I just think it’s like a snack that I have to work really hard for. After school, we went to a plac...
