Enjoying my presents

I got some good things on Christmas Day. Books to read and toys to play with and learn with. I've been enjoying playing with all of it this week. Mommy only lets me have some of it at a time so I don't get tired of it all.

Grandpa J got me a great big bag of color balls, and they are fun! Mommy put the gate up in the hallway and closed all the doors so I could just push them all over and they couldn't get away. I played with them for a LONG time!

Here's a little movie of me playing with my color balls too.

I also got some drums to play with in the bath tub, and I figured out how to do them the first time I played with them! Here's another little movie to show you.
(Mommy note: There is a pretty impressive minute in there for us...she "got it" about the drums in a way we didn't expect. Can you tell what it was??)

  1. Aw Braska! My nephew, Noah, got that same big "bag-o-balls" for Christmas and he was pretty excited about them too. He even took them to his playpen and took a nap on top of them:) I will have to post some pics for you on our blog!

  3. Awww, too cute! Did you get a pit for all those balls? (a baby pool works just fine) Kayla has those drums (and the floating xylophone) for the tub and loves them, too!

  7. Hey! WTG, Braska!

G has those drums too! :)

We are thinking about getting the balls, but we don't have a hallway to close off like that! Jessica and Joey taught us a trick to put them in the pack and play...maybe we'll try that!

  8. We have a bunch of balls too! One of the best gifts EVER! A fun thing to do with them when the weather is nice, if you have an empty sandbox, I turned one into an outdoor ballpit! It was one of my kiddos favorite things to play with outside!

  11. Mommy is so smart, blocking off the hall for all those balls. Braska, YOU are so smart, knowing how to play those drums right side up. I don't think mommy even caught that you said two words together that you heard her say, before she asked you to repeat one of them, which you did. I think you're hiding some of your "smarts" from them :o) Happy New Year, sweetie peach!

Happy 6 months to me!

I'm 6 months old today. Wow...it seems like a lifetime!! Mommy helped me put together a neat thing to share with you, but you should know that it's really for my dad. He's the best Pop a girl could have. Just remember, girls, he's mine and Mommy's, and we're keeping him! Hey Pop, thanks for hanging in there with us for six whole months! Go Team Woods! Make a video - it's fun, easy and free! www.onetruemedia.com

Getting ready for Idol!

Here at our house we always watch American Idol from the beginning to the end. I like all the music, and Mommy and Daddy like to make guesses on who will win. I love to sing and listen to songs and Mommy has been singing songs to me since I was a tiny baby, so we do songs every day. We're getting ready for Idol to start soon, so we've been singing extra! Last night, I thought I would do my first movie of singing time. I was in a pretty silly mood and didn't want to be still, but Mommy thought I should let you see anyway. This is the song I know the best, Jesus Loves Me, but it's not my best showing of it, that's for sure. And this is my favorite song from my FAVORITE show... Blue's Clues!!! Usually I can say Blue's Clues really nice and show the hands like Steve does, but I didn't feel like it when Mommy got the camera out. But the Mail song is always fun! (Mommy even got a word wrong but I knew my part!)
