A+ on my heart test

It’s been about 2 years since I had to see Dr. J, my heart doctor.  I was so strong and healthy that he didn’t have to see me for a while.

But today it was time to go see him again and take a little test.  First they checked to see how big I was.  30 lbs 7 oz and 38.5 inches is what they said I was.  Mommy thinks that’s big.  Everyone else seems to think it’s little since I’ll be 6 in a couple weeks.  I say it’s just right!

Then I talked to one new doctor. He was nice but he wanted me to lay on my back so he could listen to me. And I do NOT like to lay on my back at all.  Mommy is stronger than me, though, so I couldn’t get up even though I wanted to.  It was over quick, though.

After him, we went next door to see Mr. Jim, and he gave me a couple tests.  One was EKG and it had lots of cold sticky things on my skin. I didn’t like that.  And since I don’t like to lay on my back, Mommy sat down first and then I leaned back on her, even though I didn’t want to, but she was stronger than me again.  They put on some TV I like and Mommy sang me some songs, and I let them do the test.

But after he took the stickies off for the EKG, he put a few more on for a test called the echo.  I sat pretty still with Mommy holding onto me tight. And guess what…. I passed all my tests!

Dr. J came and saw me after my tests and said I was doing really good!  He said I’m doing the right things since I do swim and cheer and school and lots of stuff.  He said it keeps my heart strong.

The best news is that I don’t have to go back and see Dr. Johnson for 3 years!! Woo hoo!  I like him a lot, but it’s a good thing when you don’t have to see your heart doctor all the time.

Mommy and Daddy are going to help me make up a letter and some pictures to send to Dr. F, because he is the one who fixed my heart up really good back when I was a tiny baby.  We think he will like to see how big and strong I am now!

Getting ready for Idol!

Here at our house we always watch American Idol from the beginning to the end. I like all the music, and Mommy and Daddy like to make guesses on who will win. I love to sing and listen to songs and Mommy has been singing songs to me since I was a tiny baby, so we do songs every day. We're getting ready for Idol to start soon, so we've been singing extra! Last night, I thought I would do my first movie of singing time. I was in a pretty silly mood and didn't want to be still, but Mommy thought I should let you see anyway. This is the song I know the best, Jesus Loves Me, but it's not my best showing of it, that's for sure. And this is my favorite song from my FAVORITE show... Blue's Clues!!! Usually I can say Blue's Clues really nice and show the hands like Steve does, but I didn't feel like it when Mommy got the camera out. But the Mail song is always fun! (Mommy even got a word wrong but I knew my part!)
