Drum roll please....

Well, tomorrow will change my life, in every literal way. Not everyone can say that they know that their heart will be stopped for a while and fixed up to better than before all in one day. But by this time tomorrow night, I'll be well on my way to a more healthy and comfortable life. My Great-Grandad Rod in Oregon said something really neat today... he said that Jesus would be waiting at the hospital tomorrow morning for me and would walk the doctor through every step. There are so many people praying for me, I can't even tell you. Almost every state in this big country, and many other countries, have included me on a prayer list somewhere. Bunches of my family will be at the hospital praying and waiting tomorrow while I'm being worked on... and that's good because Mommy will need it, and maybe my Pop too.

Tonight I just spent some time with my family. I haven't felt well at all for the last day or so, really really felt icky actually. But they were patient with me and held me even when I was fussing. This is my Auntie April and Miss Karen.
See you all on the other side!!

  3. Braska, I hope you feel so much better tomorrow my sweet niece. I love you. You are my hero! Be brave little one! I have been asking God all day to heal your heart and ours, sometimes with tears, sometimes with smiles and a heart full of love for you. RK and Munch, be strong. We are all praying. Love, Aunt Valerie

  5. Have a great surgery. Have fun with the doctors. It will be over soon and you will be better and then those breathing sounds will be much better.

  6. We are praying for you! We know you'll do great, and Maddy and Gracie can't wait for you to be all better so you can play together! Tell your Mommy and Daddy not to worry, that God is taking care of you and holding you when they can't. " Do not worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition present your requests to God. And the peace of God that trancends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 We love you all!

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
