Morning with George

I woke up and I’m still at the hospital.  I still have this big thing on my arm that makes my hand not work very good.  But I got a little sleep.  Even if I did wake Mommy up alot.  It’s not much fun to sleep in a hospital with a big thing on your arm and cords stuck to you.

This morning I’m just going to relax a little and watch some George. He’s my favorite monkey.

(See my pictures on my bed… this is so I can remember my sissy while I’m here.)

(And this one is so my doctors and nurses know what I look like when I’m not icky and grouchy.)

(Because this is what I look like lately.)

Mommy gave me some more milk this morning in my tube and I didn’t throw it up yet like I did yesterday, so she said that’s good.  If I can do good and keep my milk in me then I can go home later today maybe.  They keep telling me how extra special good I am.  Better than lots of other kids who have their mouth worked on like me.  But I’m cool like that.

Thanks for checking on me.  Mommy says when I decide I want to smile again she will take a picture.  It’s time for Sid. I have to go see what he’s going to learn about today.

  2. Glad to hear you got some rest. Hoping and praying that you go home today. I am sure being at home with mom, dad and KiKi will make you feel so much better.

  3. I used to like George too. He always made me laugh when I felt sad. And if I felt yukky, seeing George would make me feel a little better. I just found your beautiful website and blog by visiting your Grandma Carole's blog. I love it here so I'm going to come back to visit you. Right now... I'm saying a special prayer that you get better so fast you make the doctor's head spin. Wouldn't that be funny?

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
