Easter Cookie Therapy

(For those of you who skim, there’s a video at the bottom with some speech fun, if you’re into that kind of thing. )

Yesterday we did some fun things that also made me work hard with my hands.

First we got our stuff together that we would need.  And we got excited!

Then we counted a little and put the squares on the pan.  They were a little sticky.

Then we put the squares in the oven.

After the squares had turned into to cookies in the oven, we came back and got ready to put frosting on them.  Mommy didn’t want us messy, so we did frosting with naked body.

KiKi started first.  She put her fingers in the cup Mommy gave us that had frosting in it, then she put it on her cookie. Like paint.

She did a pretty good job.  And she even licked her finger and said it was “YUMMY!”

KiKi showed me how to do it.
“Stick your finger in the frosting, Braska.”
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

”Well, this is not fun at ALL!”

I tried to paint like KiKi did.

I even tried to lick the frosting because Mommy wanted me to do that, too. I wasn’t too happy about it, though.

”Mommy please clean my hand.  Too sticky.”
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

”Can you hurry, Mommy?  Get it off!”
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

”If I sit here and hold my hand really still, maybe the sticky stuff will go away.”

Finally Mommy cleaned my hand, and I was done with all that.  KiKi did the next part. Sprinkles.  I think she liked it!

Oops!  She dropped the sprinkles on her cookie!

Mommy helped me do my sprinkles, since the container was kind of hard for me to hold.

KiKi ate her cookies. She said they were “Sooooo YUMMY!”  I didn’t eat mine.  Mommy didn’t seem surprised.

We did have some silly fun at the table, though.  Mommy tried to get me to eat my cookies, but I’m good at helping her think about other things so she will forget to want me to eat.  See how sneaky I can be in the movie here…

(Mommy note: Don’t miss the first part…it’s quick, but Braska does a very rare spontaneous question on camera.  That she does it is not rare, that it was caught on video…priceless. Also later, spontaneous rendition of You Are My Sunshine.)

We had lots of fun, even if I didn’t want to eat stuff.

Happy Easter!!

Happy 6 months to me!

I'm 6 months old today. Wow...it seems like a lifetime!! Mommy helped me put together a neat thing to share with you, but you should know that it's really for my dad. He's the best Pop a girl could have. Just remember, girls, he's mine and Mommy's, and we're keeping him! Hey Pop, thanks for hanging in there with us for six whole months! Go Team Woods! Make a video - it's fun, easy and free! www.onetruemedia.com

Getting ready for Idol!

Here at our house we always watch American Idol from the beginning to the end. I like all the music, and Mommy and Daddy like to make guesses on who will win. I love to sing and listen to songs and Mommy has been singing songs to me since I was a tiny baby, so we do songs every day. We're getting ready for Idol to start soon, so we've been singing extra! Last night, I thought I would do my first movie of singing time. I was in a pretty silly mood and didn't want to be still, but Mommy thought I should let you see anyway. This is the song I know the best, Jesus Loves Me, but it's not my best showing of it, that's for sure. And this is my favorite song from my FAVORITE show... Blue's Clues!!! Usually I can say Blue's Clues really nice and show the hands like Steve does, but I didn't feel like it when Mommy got the camera out. But the Mail song is always fun! (Mommy even got a word wrong but I knew my part!)
