99/366 Easter hunting with family

Today was pretty fun!  Pretty, because we had new dresses and shoes and bows.  Fun, because we got to hunt eggs and play with our funny family.

(There’s some more pictures of us from last night when we went to our church, if you missed those…)

Here’s our bows we made.  KiKi asked for one to match the bow on her dress.  And we went to the store and found ribbon that was just right!  I liked this flower at the store, so Mommy got some ribbon to match my dress and we made a special flower bow for Easter.

We went to church at PaPaw’s church on Sunday morning.  Then after church, they had an egg hunt.  There were eggs EVERYWHERE!

I got a few, and then lots of people helped me a little by giving me some,  too.

KiKi got a bunch, too.  She hunted with Grandma C.

After it was done, we got ready to go back to Grandma C’s house.

When we got back to their house, we took some pictures with everyone…
Uncle Gordon is Grandma C’s brother, he’s visiting from South Carolina.  He is lots of fun to play with.

Then it was Uncle Ethon and Auntie Cheryl’s turn.

And of course, Grandma C and PaPaw…

We took a family picture, too, just our little part of the family.

And us… the stars of the show!!!

After we got out of our cute dresses, we got right to our favorite activity… the states puzzle!  KiKi knows all the states and right where they go.  She likes to show me where we live.  Missouri!

We’ve learned where everyone grew up, and we’re even learning what all the capitals are!  It’s fun!  We do the puzzle 3 or 4 times every time we got to Grandma C’s.  That’s good times!

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
