Out in the snow

Last week we got LOTS of snow. Here’s our backyard.

And our front yard. They said we got about 10 inches. And that’s more than we usually get where I live.

We like when it snows, but we like to stay inside and watch it, not really get all in it and stuff. But a couple weeks ago KiKi learned that she liked to walk around in the snow. So she kept asking to go out in the snow and walk around. Mommy told us it would be way to high for us to walk around, but if we wanted to get bundled up, we could go out and see if we liked to play. I didn’t really like getting all dressed up in all the stuff to keep me warm, but we went out anyway. First we just looked around. It was pretty much white everywhere.

KiKi stepped in and then fell down on her knees. She thought it was pretty fun. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I didn’t want to get in, but Mommy sat me down anyway. I don’t know why she did that.

Then KiKi wanted to shovel, since that’s what Mommy was doing while we were playing.

But she didn’t want to help very long, so Mommy said she could sit in the special seats on the side…

I said I wanted to sit, too, but then I didn’t really like it for very long.

Wanna see a better idea of where we were sitting?? Mommy always laughs at this picture for some reason.

I started getting VERY upset, so Mommy took us in and we got warmed up. Then we had a super yummy treat… snow ice cream!!

First you get some good, clean, fluffy snow.

Then you put in some milk and a little vanilla and some sugar, and mix it all up. Then it looks like this.

KiKi tried it first, and she LOVED it. She just grabbed Mommy’s spoon and helped herself.

I liked it too…

How much did I like it? THIS much!

It was a fun snow day to play, but I’m gonna stay inside and just see the snow next time, I think.

  2. Snow cream is so yummy! I'm tired just thinking about the amount of energy it takes to bundle up 2 kids, shovel, unbundle and then cook. Whew!

  3. Looks like you had lots of fun. Auntie Ju was playing in the snow last week, too. She just lay down in the snow and looked up at the sky with the snow falling on her face :o)

Streamlining the blogs

I know it's been forever, and yes, Facebook is much to blame.  For as long as I held out and didn't join, now I see it's simplicity (and it's ability to suck up all my online time!!). BUT--After much pondering, I've decided I'm not giving up on blogging! Sometimes a narrative or story will be better served in a blog format, so I'm combining blogs into one.   Intentional Family is our new all-in-one blog for the goings on of our family, Braska's progress, celebrations, and challenges, as well as the amazing rise of little sister Kinlee. Other places you could check out if you so choose would be our new business Larae Photography LLC on Facebook or on the web at www.Larae-Photo.com , or the page for my hobbies-gone-busy Just RK Designs . So if there ARE any blog readers still out there, please come on over to the new place and join up for the ride.  All the old posts from the 3 previous blogs will be there soon so you can catch up if you need to!  ...
