Simulpost: Baby Levi has gone home

This was posted moments ago.

The following message is from Levi:
I got to go home today! No more tubes, no more machines, no more doctors, and no more pain! I got to see my papa too, and he sends his love to everybody. Most importantly, I got to see Jesus. I know it's hard for everyone down there, but let these words give you home and comfort:

"Let not your hearts be troubled. You believe in God. Believe also in me. In my father's house are many rooms, and I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come back, so that you may also be where I am. I am the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me."

I love you all lots, and I will see you again.
Love,
Levi

Please continue to pray for this family as they mourn their sweet child. Thank you for all your prayers and kind words. It has meant a great deal to this family, I can assure you. I will pass on all comments to them, if you'd like to leave one.

  1. Levi, what a strong boy you were, and what a stronger God you have! You will be so safe, whole and joyful in your Father's arms. I will be praying for your family because I know they will miss you greatly, but they will not be mourning as those who have no hope - they know they will see you again. That's our strong God's promise!

  3. I am so sad for this family. We are expecting twins and one of our twins' names will be Levi. We already had that name picked out of course before this, but I will think of this little baby Levi when we name our son Levi as well. Our prayers are with this family. Andrea Avery

  5. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I know that words cannot comfort their pain, but know that we are holding them close to our hearts, and wrapping them in prayer.

May God be with you until you all meet again.

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
