Easter family fun

We had a really fun Easter Day this year.

We started out by playing in The Big Green Bed, which is what we call Mommy and Daddy’s bed.  Mommy said there was an Easter that we played in a bed back when KiKi was a tiny baby… remember this and this?

Look how small we used to be!  KiKi was way smaller than me then, but now she’s bigger!

KiKi and I love to play and we also like to give hugs.  But she usually pulls me over so we both fall down.

Sometimes we rest for a minute.  Shhhh.  Then sometimes we get all silly again!!

Then we were doing Easter Day Hoorays!!

Then we got ready for church.

KiKi always walks faster than me.  But Daddy helps me keep going without KiKi running away.

Our dresses weren’t just the same, but they were kind of almost the same. KiKi wore the one that was supposed to be for me, but it’s ok.  I like purple too.  Mommy made new bows for us to go with our Easter dresses…

Grammy, Papa, and Auntie Ju came up to have Easter with us.  They came to church with Auntie Rachel and Uncle Patrick, too, so we were all there together.  After we got done at church, we all went to Auntie Rachel’s house for lunch and fun.

We got our Easter baskets at Auntie Rachel’s house.  KiKi got some neat Snoopy things (She LOVES Snoopy!) and I got some cute ducks to play with in the bath.  We got candy, too, but I gave mine to KiKi since I don’t really like to eat stuff like candy.

We got to change clothes and then we went hunting for Easter eggs. It was pretty easy to find them, but KiKi didn’t get as many as I did. She kept stopping to eat her candy.

I found the eggs and just kept going to find more.  I gave my candy to KiKi and Daddy to eat.

It was a super fun day.  We napped in our rooms (yep, we have rooms at their house, too) and then we got to play some more.

Hope you all had a good Easter this year, too!!

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
