Catch-up: Summer sisters #1

Me and KiKi do lots of stuff together, so we wanted to show you some of our sister fun this summer.

When I had my eye surgery in May, I missed some school days, and my super great teacher Miss A brought me a special and BIG card from all my school friends. Me and KiKi looked at it a lot and kept asking Mommy to get it out again and look at the “blue hands card.”  I have the best school friends!!

We went to Auntie Rachel’s house sometimes to help with stuff or just to visit and play.

We also like to swim a lot, so we’re being good and going to our swim classes every week.  When we get there a little early, we wait our turn and watch the other kids.

When we went to one of my visit with my eye doctor, we put on our cute rainbow shirts and pretty bows… so Mommy tried to take pictures before we left. We weren’t very good at standing still, though.

Then we gave giggle hugs and decided to play hide and seek. We love to hide our eyes and count to ten, then we say “Ready or not, here I come!!”

When we got to the doctor’s office, they had a pretty fountain, so we took a few more pictures.

We even got to go play at the playground after we got done at the doctor!
But I already told you about that here and here with a movie.  Didn’t see it??  Go check it out, then, silly!

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
