31 for 21: My Halloween Party

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month. So we’ll highlight a few little special things about what DS means in our house.

[I have Down syndrome. I like to play dress up on Halloween. And I like to have fun with my friends at school.]

On Friday, we had a party at school and everyone got to wear their cute costumes. KiKi came to school to be at our party, and she had her ladybug on, too!  I was glad to see her!

We took a little walk through the halls so everyone could see all our costumes.

Then we went back to the classroom to play some games. But first we decorated cupcakes with fun stuff.  I just ate yogurt pretty much.

Then we tried a few of the games.

Then we had spooky story time.

Me and KiKi stood by the wall for a picture beforew we took off our costumes.

That night, we went to work with Mommy because Daddy was busy.  Most of the time we played in the playroom, but at the end we tried to help Mommy some.  Except we thought playing in this box was way more fun.

  2. Both of them look so precious in their little costumes. Thanks for sharing them with us!

I am sure that both of them would look so cute in frilly dresses that have the petty coat slip (not sure what they are really called. LOL!)under them. I do not seem any like them anymore but I always thought they were so precious on little frilly girls. These dresses reminded me of them.

    Love,

A good fashion statement

I’ve heard people talk about a fa-shun stayt-munt .  Mommy told me how to spell it right so you would know what I mean…fashion statement.  Have you heard about this?  I’m not sure, but I think it’s when you put on pretty clothes and then tell someone something.  And I have something to tell you!! So here’s the pretty clothes… these were our Sunday pictures from yesterday.  Daddy took them while Mommy was getting ready for church. Me and KiKi were playing and we didn’t stand still to do good Sunday pictures.  But Daddy sneaked in some good ones. And now, here’s what I’ve got to tell you….. To celebrate my new pretty blog that we worked really hard on, me and Mommy are going to be giving some fun things away to somebody who likes to read our stories!  Do you like to get stuff for just reading my stories? And here’s how you can get stuff… You’re going to like it!  And there’s more than one thing!  1. Leave a comment on THIS POST TODAY (Monday) for an “early entry.”  (That mea

Mommy report: Exciting night!

Pardon the interruption into your regular evening, but we have something to share!! Daddy gets the credit for this one. He had her in the bed for cuddles and snuggles, and in a matter of 15 minutes, she's got it down pat!!! She's going around now saying, "Name! Braska! (Ba-ka)" I'm always hesitant to "brag" on her too much, for fear of offending or something to those who struggle... as that's a real thing in the world of delays...but I am so proud of this girl! More speech news soon, but I just had to throw this up and cheer for my girl!
