We had a quick visit with Dr. B this morning, just long enough for him to confirm that Braska's issue is pyogenic granuloma. He said we'll have to see about having it removed. He would have done it, except we can't be sure she'd be still enough for the procedure. Actually, we're SURE she wouldn't be still. (Graphic warning, again.) If you dare, here's today's pic. We called the GI office to see what's next. They wanted to see it themselves, but chose to go the digital picture route, so we sent them both of the pics from today and yesterday. Of course, they didn't call back before the end of the day, and now we wait til Wednesday.
We treated with the silver nitrate again tonight, as the nurse from the GI office said to continue to do that once a day. Braska didn't care for that at all. It obviously hurt her. And they've told us that it wouldn't have any feeling, so I don't know what's up. For now we wait...

Poor thing! I hope Braska feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hate that she's having to go through this - it can't be much fun for her or you and M! You are in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteBraska, Your granulation tissue looks EXACTLY like Tommy's! We are about three weeks post one application of silver nitrate, and it's back for us.
ReplyDeleteI did hear from someone else that once they went to a smaller sized mickey the granulation tissue stopped for them. Every baby is different but I'm asking our GI folks if there is any merit to that idea.
Happy New Year Braska's family! Your baby is soooo beautiful and our family LOVES to see all the pictures posted.
Aww, Braska- I bet that thing in your stomach doesn't feel too good right now. I'm sorry that it's giving you problems, hopefully the doctor's will come up with an effective solution. Good thing you were blessed with a very observant and caring mommy! Happy New Year Braska!
ReplyDelete-Your Auntie Skye's twin sister
Oh NO! How stressful for all of you.
ReplyDeleteI missed the last few updates on this.
I'm hoping this gets resolved quickly.
