Fireworks day

What a day...we'll just jump right in to the pictures, since that's what you want anyway, right?!?

This morning I tried out a new thing Mommy got to try to help me stay busy and not look at my hands so much. It lets me hang out with her while she's working. I don't think Mommy or me are either one sure about it yet though.

Pop spent the morning enjoying his day off from work. It doesn't seem fair, does it?

We went to by Miss Marci and Mr. Tim's new house tonight, and I got to meet some nice people. Then we went to Mr. Randy and Miss Karen's house for a while, too. Mommy put me in a new toy thing. It took some getting used to.

All the daddies said they wanted to make things blow up, so they were outside a while. Then it got dark and we watched some neat lights and noisy things. We even got to see some great big fireworks through the trees. I sat with Miss Sara and went to sleep because she was so comfortable.

  1. Fireworks day looked tiring to Braska! Glad she had some friends to snuggle with. It took Delphine awhile to get used the the exersaucer...now she loves it!!

  3. Miss Melissa--It was a long day, but it was fun. I guess if Delphine likes the exersaucer, I'll give it a try.

Miss Karen K--Thanks for doing all the work so we could have fun!

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
