Miss Karen's the best!

This weekend we went back to St. Louis. I know! It's been alot of driving lately. But this time it was to see Miss Karen, and that's really worth the trip. She moved back to Kansas, and we miss her alot, but we know she'll be having a good time with all her old friends. Mommy says I should say "old" friends, but I think she knows what I mean.

We got to play, and we talked about some stuff. I showed her my new tricks and she was pretty impressed I think.

I also spent plenty of time playing with the rest of the gang. They had just seen me, though, so they didn't seem as impressed with my tricks this time. Grandma C fed me some yummy bananas, and Uncle Levi makes a great comfy chair!

Tonight we played some games, and Uncle Levi played with my yellow bunny too. I didn't know it could do these tricks, but I think it's going to teach me how to do them too. Won't everyone be impressed!?!

Grandma C is always ready to play with me, and I just don't get tired of it very often. I was showing her how I can pull myself up with only a little help. I even got to chew on her hand a little, which is one of my favorite things.

  1. Miss Karen is the best. She helped me shop for frames to put your pictues in. They are pretty cool looking. Love you, Little Miss.

We are going to Bears training camp on Friday and wonder if you would like a new Bears shirt?

  2. Miss Karen thinks you are absolutely wonderful--one of my most favorite people. Thank you so much for having your mom and dad bring you to see me. You had changed a lot since I saw you. You are getting so big. I can't believe all of the things you can do. I am so proud of you. I love you wee one--

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
