Color the circle

That's what Mommy did today...and I helped! Mommy and I have been studying up on who is gonna be the best guy to be the President, and today we got to go and tell who we thought would do a good job.

I sat right on the shelf and helped Mommy find the right circles to color in. Even though it was raining and icky, we went and did it. We didn't even have to stand in line or anything, so we left home and got back in less than 10 minutes.

  2. Get out the vote Braska!

The more you read, the more you know.

when speaking your mind or making a choice.

Someday you will be casting the vote!

  3. I colored the circle too. Then I rushed home to watch results. Then my face fell, because it seemed as though my vote was an exercise in futility.

  4. I'm so glad your mommy took you to vote; she is teaching you well. Auntie Joy and Uncle Ryan went with me into town to pass out flyers (in the rain) to other people who were voting. Then Auntie Joy and Papa and I went to vote at our own voting place.
    Love you!

  5. Haha... it's probably against the law of some sort to take pictures in a voting booth, but I see that you were sneaky and avoided using the flash. :)

  6. Holly--I didn't think too much about it, but I took it with my phone, so it was on the down-low. :o)

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
