Mommy life: Color change

After some interesting research, green print in Times New Roman italic on yellow background was determined (by some scientific people) to be the easiest to read for web pages. I'm not so sure how valid that is, but I thought it was time for a change, so we'll give it a shot. I'm working on finding something that fits us more, but who has time?!?

Just thought I'd let you know how this color scheme was conceived. :o)

  1. Braska,
We like the new green/yellow. University of Oregon's colors are green/yellow. Steve Prefontaine, a cross country runner for U of Oregon is well known for his special gifts.

  2. Very interesting about the colors. I liked the black, but I think you should try a nice purple. karen k

  3. I didn't care much for black, I like the old background. I did like the braska bear in purple. Now that someone mentions that yellow and green connection to U of O, I like it! Go Ducks! When do you want to come see the ducks Braska?! Love you in any color! Auntie V

  4. Anonymous--Good to hear from the Pac NW crowd! I didn't think about the Ducks, but we can give color props to them for a bit!

Karen K--I've thought about a purple...we'll see. I liked the black ok, but many people have trouble with white(or other colors) on black background.

Auntie V--We keep thinking about trying to get her out to that side of the world, but I just can't come up with a feasible plan at this point... maybe soon.

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
