Feeling icky but getting stronger!

I didn't have a very good night last night, and I think Mommy's going to tell you about that, but this morning I didn't feel quite as happy about playing as I do most of the time. I just know that I had to have my tube in my nose again during the night. But it's good because now my belly's good and full.

Miss Robin came this morning to help me with my exercises. I used to think it was all play, but it's starting to seem kind of like work. I showed her how I could roll over from my tummy to my back, but that's just because I don't really like to be on my tummy unless I'm sleeping. I did think the color fan thing that she brings to play with was pretty neat, so I looked at it for a while.

She also had me practice holding up on my arms, which I don't like very much, but I tried hard to do it for a while, and Mommy and Miss Robin were very happy.

Miss Robin was helping me, but I was working pretty hard too!

  1. Sorry Braska is feeling icky! Yay for being up a bit on the scale though. It was around this age that Delphine realized she had to work a lot during therapy too.

  2. WOW; look at how big (and cute) she has gotten. And all that hair! I am sorry she is not feeling to well, but she looks great. Vine definitely wants a date with her in about 17 years or so...

  3. Miss Melissa--Tell Delphine hello for me!

Miss Christina--I'm not sure about what a "date" means, but Mommy says with Vince it's a good thing for sure!

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
