In the last 14 months, we have had so many people praying for us, first dozens and then hundreds ... first for non-baby issues, then for issues surrounding Braska's health and our strength. Without this support, we know we would not have survived with even what little sanity we have left at this point. It is absolutely invaluable in my eyes to have had the support we did. The peace we had during the surgery, the calm with which we looked at her immediately after surgery(graphic picture warning), knowing that even though she looked quite scary at the moment, she was already healthier than she'd ever been...these things were surely due to all those praying for our comfort during that time.
So now, I'm calling on all of you who were part of that big, wonderful group of those praying for us to now pray for a couple of precious little girls and their families. On Tuesday, June 5, these little girls will be undergoing surgery like Braska did three months ago. We know how scary it is, and we know how difficult watching our little one go through it was, but we also know how awesome life on the other side is. We simply ask that our prayer pals spend time each day between now and then, specifically Tuesday during the day, to pray for little Georgia and her parents and little Delphine and her parents as they walk through this experience. We've been praying for peace for the families, strength for the little girls, and wisdom and stamina for the nurses and doctors taking part in the operations and follow-up care.
We hope someday to get the privilege of meeting these beautiful little ones, but in the meantime, we will keep tabs on them through their blogs. You can keep up with Georgia's progress at Unringing the Bell and with Delphine's progress at Banana Migraine.
Thanks, team!
Tricia and Melissa...All blessings to you and yours.

Wow, that picture. You've come a long way, baby!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping everyone does as well next week.
Awww - I'm sooo glad that Braska's surgery went well, and we will be praying for Georgia and Delphine.

ReplyDeleteCate--She HAS come a long way...everyone told us she'd be a different girl, and though she's still very much Nebraska Larae, she was almost unrecognizeable by about day 3 in the hospital.. truly amazing what is possible.
ReplyDeleteMum2Brady--Thank you for coming by! And thanks for your prayers.
Karen K--Tell Maddy and Gracie thanks too for saying prayers for Miss G and little d.
