Sunny Sunday

We did alot today, but mostly we took alot of pictures. So I'll let them tell most of the story.

Fashion first, of course, so check out my new dress (and shoes, socks, and bow) from Grandma!!!

It started out, as always, with church. But this time I fell asleep on the way there, so I spent most of the time not in the big room, because I was talking to Mommy too much, I think. So we went to the room where the other kids are, and I fell asleep while Mommy was holding me. When I woke up, though, Grandma C took me around to say hello to people.

When we got home from church, we took alot of pictures. I was in most all of them for some reason. I smiled as much as I could, but then I just told them I was done!

This is me with Grandma C and Grandpa John.

This is me with Miss Karen.

This is me with Uncle Ethon.

This is me with Uncle Levi and Auntie April. (I like them alot, but I was getting tired of pictures.)

After pictures, I got to get out of that itchy dress (but it was beautiful, Grandma C!) and get into comfy clothes. The whole family had dinner and everyone talked about how great it was and how someday I was going to like to eat all the yummy food with them. I say I have yummy food now!

Then we went for a walk around the street where they live.

This is Grandpa John walking with me. He is a crazy driver! He was going in circles and all around.

This is Auntie April and Uncle Levi, and that's their dog Cooper.

When we got back from the walk, Mommy and I napped. Mommy says she's tired because I've been wanting to get up and play when she wants to sleep at night. It's more fun to play than sleep, I think. Then later tonight, the grown-ups played a game and laughed a lot. I played with my seat that makes neat music and lights up. I think I had the most fun of all of us.

Tomorrow I go see Dr. F, so wish me luck!

  2. Hey Braska,
We've been following your blog for several months now. We are so thankful for the way things are going for you. You are a little doll. Would love to be able to hold you and spoil you a little bit. Tell your Grandma C and Grandpa John Hi!

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
