Little better

Today I'm feeling a little bit more like myself, but I still don't feel like wiggling much.

I did enjoy playing with the super soft blanket Miss Karen K gave me in between my toes...

Mommy came back really early this morning to check on me, and I was glad to see her but I went back to sleep anyway. I've been trying to do this bottle thing that everyone keeps pushing on me, and it's actually not so bad. There was a nice lady who came to talk to Mommy about how to help me do better with the bottle, and she talked to me too, so I did like she asked and drank from the bottle some. Everyone seems to be in such a hurry, and I like to take my time when I eat. I don't know why they won't let me just relax about it.

My roommate is going home today. I think it would be nice if Mommy and me could have the room to be just us tonight, but Mommy says it probably won't be like that. This is a pretty busy place, so there will just be someone new coming in I guess.

The TV on our side of the room isn't working, so Mommy and I have been spending alot of time reading all the comments from you guys and looking at some of your blogs and stuff. I can't wait til I get smart like some of you. Thanks for asking about me and being so nice.

  1. You could ask if you could switch to the nicer side of the room. They let me do that once, and being near the window was really nice.

    Hang in there.

  2. Dear Nebraska,

So glad you are better. Everytime I woke up last night (not too often, actually) I said a prayer for you. We do that a lot throughout the day. Keep on keeping on, little miss.

    Love, papa beagle

  7. Hey guys, Thanks for the bday wish last night! Braska, keep feeling better and eating well. The more you eat, the sooner you get to eat solid food. The more you eat solid food, the closer you come to consuming El Toro salsa. . . . . . that's what it is all about! I miss your cute little cheeks.

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
