Tired of this

Feeling like this is not any fun. I want it to stop. I spent most of today telling Mommy how much I don't like it. I didn't yell or anything, but I did complain to her. I even gave her lots of good sad faces and she didn't make it stop. All I want is to feel better. Is that so much to ask?

Grandpa John came to see me this morning. He is always comfortable to cuddle with, so I was glad to get some of that. Mr. Patrick and Auntie Rachel came to see me today, too. Auntie Rachel always brings me presents, and she brought me a panda bear for my bed here.

I heard that they might let me go home tomorrow. I'm ready to go home, but I still don't feel very good, so I don't know what I think about that. Mommy says they're pretty smart here, so I guess we'll wait to see what they say.
(P.S. Hi Grandma C and Miss Karen! Hope you're driving safe!)

  5. My dear little Braska, Please get well soon. I get very sad when you are sick. Sometimes, I cry because I want you to be all better. Nothing really makes me cry. Just little kids that don't feel good. So get much better so I can smile again. PS: Did you know I'm scared of little mice? Oh..and cameras! Hugs little one..Mistress De

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
