Inside on a rainy day

We are still at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Mommy and I stayed home today so Mommy could work and I could play. I got a bath first thing this morning, but it wasn't in my normal tub. Mommy put me in the bathroom sink. That was kind of weird, but it was still a little fun. When I got finished and all dressed, Grandma C said I smelled really good. I hung out on the couch next to Mommy while she worked on her computer, and I looked at the colors on the couch. One of them I didn't like so much, so I figured out how to say I didn't like it.

Get the message?? I also occupied myself with my new toys. Here they are...

Mommy calls them "hands" and they are always around when I get bored.

Grandma C and Miss Karen bought me some cool new clothes today...including one really pretty new dress and my first pair of jeans. Be watching Sunday to see how snazzy I am!

Tonight Mommy and Miss Karen went shopping and Mommy got some neat new things. We're both gonna look snazzy! She was going to take me, but since it was all wet outside, she left me to play with Grandma C. When she got back, she had some new things for me. She put me in my chair and started putting something in my mouth. It was pretty good. She said it was bananas. I just know that it was mushy, but not too bad.

It kind of got a little messy. Mommy says we'll try again tomorrow.

  1. Wow, I think I pass on the bananas but have a great breakfast. Sometimes it's best to read a good book on a rainy day. Love you Little Miss.

  2. I know the food experience is messy but you will get the hang of it soon and then you won't want it to stop...The fruits are the best! :-) Keep the updates coming. We here in Florida (Busey) love hearing all about you and your family.

Mommy report: Chatty girl

Braska's been just loving her words lately. She's still signing some, mostly when we're in public or around strangers, but she's adding more words all the time. Many of her words are just attempts at the actual word, but that's where we all start, right?!? We're not saying that she'll be giving speeches next month, but we are very proud that she's become such a mimic and that she is loving using so many sounds. We practice often, just running through her words, signs, and tricks. She especially loves to chime in with videos of herself, so I've been working on compiling all her favorites for her to work with. As I was editing this, she was sitting here saying the words over and over. So funny to hear her talking to herself on the screen and loving it. So here's a peek at some clips from our practice session tonight. Some words are more obvious than others. They are all great attempts, though, and we'll celebrate that! Make an on-line

Nebraska meets Indiana

Braska's reaction to meeting the very kind Rory Feek and his beautiful daughter Indy.  I missed the part where Braska said Indy was sooooooooooo cute!  :) Our dream would be a photo showing the two most beautiful "states" together, right?!?  :)
